What can expect after the MILLION DOLLAR facial treatment?

Your skin will be red after micro needling.

Using a good moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated will help minimize the redness, this will subside in 2/3days. Ask us for advice on Skincare – we are the Professionals!

Slight Bruising and swelling. This is nothing to be concerned about this is usually faint enough to be covered up with makeup after 24hrs. Some people may also experience some mild swelling after micro needling.

Rough skin and visible marks. You may get a few lumps and bumps but this is totally normal as your skin has been through an elective trauma.

After your procedure, your skin will feel and look different. It might feel rough to the touch for a few days, and you may notice some slight visible marks on your skin. Both of these effects are caused by the micro-injuries created by the punctures. As your skin heals, these marks will soon fade and your skin will become smoother than it was before.

There is minimal micro needling downtime. The inflammatory effect of micro needling is short. Within just 12-24 hours, your skin should fade from red to pink and the swelling should go down, though you may experience some sensitivity for up to 48 hours.

Clients are advised to stay away from Ibruprofen. Micro needling relies on your body’s natural inflammatory process to stimulate cell regeneration, so it is highly recommended that you stay away from anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen. These medications will interfere with your body’s recovery process and affect your results. (Use a cool compress to soothe any swelling should there be any)

Peeling is part of the process and will start 3-5 days after treatment. Peeling is a normal and important part of the micro needling healing process, caused by the increased cell turnover.

Schedule your next appointment for 4-6 weeks. You can safely repeat the procedure every 4-6 weeks until you achieve your desired results.

Your Practitioner will advise what is best for your skin.

Muscle relaxing injections are otherwise classically known as Botox© injections and are a speciality service at all of our clinics – with our Senior Practitioner having over ten years worth of injecting experience.

What is Botox© and how does it work?

Injectable anti-ageing treatments using Botox© are a quick, safe and effective method of smoothing our facial wrinkles and creases by paralysing the muscle causing them into a state of relax.

Botox© procedures involve a tailored number of tiny injections of a specialised toxin prescribed by our in-house Doctor, for cosmetic use in various facial muscles – that have a direct effect in the appearance of the surface of the skin (dermis).

Botulinum Toxin is the scientific name for the substance used in the treatment and is a naturally occurring protein, which when injected into the facial muscles stops them from contracting and ‘damaging’ the dermis.

Botox© primarily targets wrinkles caused by ‘dynamic’ muscle movement – the main cause of wrinkles in the upper face.  Whilst the muscle is in this state of paralysis, the skin is able to repair itself over a long period of time – which is why accumulative treatments often result in the long-term disappearance of some lines and creases.

Skilled injecting techniques enable certain muscles to over-compensate for those muscles which are injected with the toxin to create a tightness and lift – particularly around the forehead and eye area – classically known as the Botox© ‘brow lift’.

Classically, the ‘lifting and tightening effect’ on the upper face serves to open the eye area and raise the brow resulting in a fresh-faced ‘younger’ appearance.

However, it is not just the upper part of the face that can be treated.  Botox©  injections can also be placed in specific parts of the lower face to re-establish symmetry, create lift and change facial contours to make people appear more aesthetically pleasing.  In addition, strategically placed lower face injections can make the face appear slimmer and can help relieve clients from medical conditions such as teeth grinding. Likewise they can be used in the neck and scalp to help alleviate migraine suffers from this debilitating condition.

How long can it be expected to last?

Initial Botox© treatments will last an average of approximately three months.  Repeated treatments result in a greater tolerance of the toxin and subsequent weakening of the injected muscle means that results can often realistically last 5-7 months provided treatments are regularly received in the first year.

Is there any downtime?

As with any injectable treatment, bruising is a possibility.  Additionally, some initial ‘bee sting’ swelling may occur at the injection site. This will correct itself within twenty minutes or so of treatment.

What is a ‘Top Up’ appointment and how long after my treatment am I eligible for one?

At our Clinics we like to ensure Client satisfaction and encourage our Clients to return so we can ‘tweak and tighten’ their treatment should they need it.

The initial treatment is where the treatment is administered.  We then offer a gratuitous second appointment within 2-3 weeks of the initial treatment whereby the results of the procedure are checked and additional ‘top-up’ units are injected if required.

*Please note, there is a strict time limit of 3 weeks for the gratuitous ‘top up’ appointment.  We request Clients ensure they can attend this appointment in time or additional fees may be charged.

How ‘Safe’ is the Treatment?

Typically anti-wrinkle injections are a very safe procedure in the correct hands. All of our Anti wrinkle injections using Botox© are medically prescribed by a Doctor.

It is important to note that all facial injections require great anatomical knowledge and success of the treatment often depends on the experience of the Practitioner.  Our Practitioners are highly experienced at giving these injections and we can guarantee that there is Clinical oversight of a Doctor available at all of our Clinics.

Clients travel far and wide to be treated by us for their injectable treatments and with over 10 years experience you can be safe in the knowledge that you are in the very best of hands.  ALL of our Prescription Treatments are supported by Medical Professionals and your safety will always remain paramount when you are on our premises.

Additionally, it is worth noting that there are no known long term side effects to cosmetic Anti-wrinkle Injections.  Should you choose not to pursue the treatment long term, the toxin wears off and leaves the body – and the skin will gradually return to its pre-treatment state.

What is CryoPen™?

An advanced treatment using nitrous oxide to treat skin imperfections. The CryoPen™ emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, allowing your technician to work with millimetre precision.  This quickly, safely and effectively freezes unhealthy tissue, with no damage to surrounding healthy skin.

Benefits of CryoPen™?

Many people suffer from common skin imperfections such as pigmentation, warts or verrucae without realising just how easy, effective and affordable treatment is.

The majority of the imperfections we are able to treat using Cryotherapy are no longer treated on the NHS, leaving many people trying to resolve their concerns with ineffective over the counter solutions, which very rarely work.

Despite the fact that fibromas and age spots are usually harmless, for the person who has them they are nevertheless quite bothersome and perceived as a flaw.  With CryoPen™ you can now have these treatments performed at your convenience within our clinic, at an affordable cost and with no downtime.

What can CryoPen™/Cryotherapy be used to treat?

Cryotherapy is particularly effective for stubborn pigmentation and is excellent for “age” spots found on the hands, chest and other areas of the body.  Additionally it can be used to treat the following skin imperfections.

–        Solar lentigo

–        Age spots

–        Warts

–        Viral Verrucae

–        Milia

–        Pigmentation

–        Cherry Angiomas

What can I expect from the treatment?

The treatment will be nothing more than a short burst of cold air. The histamine reaction in the area treated will create an itchy sensation for about ten minutes, this is nothing to worry about and is perfectly normal.

There will be varying reactions from the various skin conditions that may be treated with the CryoPen™, none of which are life limiting in anyway.

Skin Tags: These turn dark at the base and drop off over a period of one to six weeks.  Larger skin tags 3mm+ may need a second freeze, we advise Clients to contact the Clinic after 6 weeks should they need to be retreated.

Warts/Verrucae: These will generally harden and ‘peel’ away or drop off in 2-3 weeks after treatment.  It is certainly not uncommon for them to need a second treatment.  This should be carried out approximately 4 weeks after the initial treatment.

Milia: As these are superficial keratin filled epidermal cysts these normally flatten and disappear.

Pigmentation/Cherry Angiomas:  The treated area may raise and look like a bee sting immediately after the first treatment and will go down over a few hours.

In the next 24 hours the area will go darker and create a small crust on the surface of the skin.  It must be allowed to naturally fall off.  When it does, the new skin (shiny pink) will be visible underneath.  It is not scarring and will re-pigment over the following weeks.

Is there any ‘down time’?

Generally, absolutely not!

However – and extremely rarely blistering can happen as with any Cryotherapy treatment and is indiscriminate.

The reason we use CryoPen™ above all other Cryotherapy methods is because it is the most effective way of avoiding blisters.  That is because we are only treating the affected area and not healthy tissue – so blistering is therefore quite rare.

Blister aftercare advice is given as a standard protocol at all of our Clinics at the time of treatment.

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma – from here-on in PRP is a substance found naturally in your body (namely your blood) which promotes healing.

Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special ‘growth factors’ or proteins which help the skin repair when damaged and also help your blood to clot.  PRP also contains proteins that support cell growth.

PRP treatments used in the Aesthetics industry are also known as ‘Vampire Facelifts’ or ‘Dracula Therapy’.

The idea behind injecting PRP into damaged tissues (such as scarring and wrinkles) is that the PRP will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing, therefore healing the wrinkle or scar and using the body’s own resources to achieve facial skin improvement and a more youthful looking complexion.

It is both suitable for men and women and can be used all over the face, neck, hands and body.

What does the Treatment Involve?

Essentially, PRP involves taking a sample of the client’s blood directly from a vein and ‘spinning’ these samples in a special machine called a centrifuge.

This ‘spinning’ process separates the red blood cells from the yellow clear like liquid known as Plasma – the substance which contains the client’s active proteins and Platelet Rich Plasma.

The Plasma is drawn up into a syringe and re-injected into the skin into the area/areas of concern.  By using the PRP that has been derived from a sample of the client’s own blood, this revolutionary repair system places an abundance of growth factors and pre-stem cells into the exact location where we want the skin to repair and rejuvenate itself naturally.

There are numerous ways of injecting the plasma back into the skin and this procedure can be made as invasive/non-invasive as required.

Cannulas can be used to quickly and painlessly re-stimulate the growth of deeper skin tissue areas with very little trauma to the superficial dermis of the skin…

..Similarly, ‘meso’ techniques involving hundreds of tiny little skin pricks can be injected to also nourish the epidermis with PRP to help re-densify thin, crepey skin and promote the superficial healing of wrinkles.  Though not excessively painful, this can sometimes lead to pin prick bruising or marking which may take a few days to subside.

Who is a suitable candidate?

Because PRP is a 100% natural procedure – it doesn’t use any animal derived products, plant based ingredients or any other foreign materials or medicine.. absolutely ANYONE is a candidate for a treatment.

What can PRP treatments be used for?

– Skin Wrinkles

– Skin Rejuvenation

– Scarring – all types including acne

– Hair Loss

– Sports Injuries

How long does the Procedure take to work? How many treatments will I need?

One of the key things to bare in mind regarding PRP treatments is that their long term benefits are not immediately visible.  Many clients report an immediate ‘plumpness’ and luminescence to their skin in the days that follow but the real production of cell regeneration and healing is promoted about 30 days post treatment.

Subsequent treatments on the same area have cumulative effects and PRP can continue to regenerate the skin tissue up to 12 months after its initial injection.

Is there any downtime?

One of the beautiful things about this treatment is its versatility of use and application.  It can easily be combined with other treatment modalities (such as Skin Pen and Laser applications) to promote further healing and without any excessive trauma of the skin that would leave marks that take time to heal.

In its typical application – by injection through needles or cannula can leave slight marking or bruising on the skin.  The injection of large amounts of PRP fluid can also result in a little temporary swelling that would normally subside within a few hours of treatment.

Generally speaking, it is a very non invasive treatment that can be said to have little to virtually no downtime at all.

What is Profhilo? How does it work?

As part of our total skin care services to our Clients we also offer Profhilo – a unique skin ‘remodelling’ treatment.

Profhilo is not a dermal filler – it is instead a ‘B.D.D.E.’ – free stabilised injectable Hyaluronic Acid based product for treating skin laxity, not just filling lines and wrinkles.

Made of 100% Hyaluronic Acid It works in several ways. It nourishes dermal cells and restores firmness of the skin – firstly by boosting and hydrating the skin – but then additionally ‘remodelling’ ageing and sagging skin tissue.

As a ‘stabilised’ product Profhilo remains in the skin for around 28 days – whilst it is present in the dermis it stimulates the production of four different types of Collagen and Elastin from its timed release of Hyaluronic Acid.

Profhilo is administered in a five point bolus injection technique that is designed to distribute the product effectively along the BAAPS points in the dermis that allow for its even distribution. The result being that it effectively turns back time on the skin.

Who is a suitable candidate? Is there any downtime?

Any person whose skin is showing signs of ageing and loss of skin laxity is a suitable candidate for the treatment.

There is no significant downtime – a very small amount of bruising and swelling at injection points may occur.

What results can I reasonable expect? How long will they last?

The injection technique and efficacy of this treatment means that improvement and tightening/lifting effect of the skin tissue should be seen around 4 weeks after the initial treatment.

The treatment protocols state that for initial treatment – 2 sessions around 4 weeks apart are required to initiate the ‘bio-remodelling’ process.

It is recommended that in the cases of extremely ‘lax’ skin tissue a 3rd treatment is carried out approximately 8 weeks after the 2nd.

‘Top-up’ and maintenance treatments are then recommended every 4-6 months to prolong the results and continue the effects.

Single Treatment – £249

Course of 2 – £450

Course of 3 – £599

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a term used to describe an injectable technique which allows the delivery of certain substances directly into the skin – the dermis.

It is a minimally invasive procedure which is essentially a series of superfine injections of vitamins, minerals, amino acid cocktails, hyaluronic acid and even PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) into the ‘mesodermal’ layer of the skin.

The infusion of vital ingredients which promote rejuvenation of the skin also stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, essential in the structure of the dermis to promote the skin’s natural elasticity.

What does the procedure involve?

The procedure itself is minimally invasive – but does involve a large number of superficial injections into the very top layer of the skin.  For this reason, topical anaesthetic is applied approximately 30 minutes before treatment to freshly cleansed skin.

The chosen ingredients for a ‘bespoke’ mesotherapy treatment can be injected either by a special mesotherapy gun/device or by hand with a syringe and special 4mm needle.

Who is a suitable candidate for Mesotherapy?

Any person wanting to improve the condition and health of their skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as long as they have no blood clotting or auto-immune issues.

A full consultation is given before treatment.

Is there any downtime? How long before I see results? What are the benefits?

Mesotherapy can fairly be described as having minimal downtime but it is important to remember the skin is being penetrated by a needle so a little bruising and some swelling may occur (particularly relevant if the delicate under eye area is being treated) so it is advisable to plan these treatments ahead.

Any potential swelling and bruising however will be ‘short-lived’ and should settle with a day or two.

Almost immediately skin will become more radiant, appear more hydrated and healthy and over time it will appear firmer and have an improved texture.

The short-term benefits of mesotherapy include the instant improvement of dull, tired looking skin but there are even greater long term benefits should a course be completed and the results maintained.   These include the significant improvement to superficial wrinkles and also can improve blood circulation – helping the body to flush out toxins.

In short – mesotherapy can be used to target

  • General skin health
  • Acne scarring
  • Ageing and hydration
  • Can also stimulate hair growth
  • Pigmentation

How many sessions will I need/ How often?

A course of 6-8 sessions is normally recommended for mesotherapy with 1-2 sessions per year afterwards to maintain results.

Prices start from £99.

Please note this is a bespoke treatment – so prices will vary. A consultation is required.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a super effective, manual exfoliating treatment which improves the skin’s tone and texture.

A sterile scalpel is used to gently scrape off any dead skin cells on the surface of the skin as well as removing any vellus hair.  Removing the layer of dead skin allows products to penetrate deeper into the skin allowing them to be more effective.  Vellus hair often causes a build up of dirt and oil in the follicle, removing the hair reduces the chances of breakouts and leaves the skin looking more radiant.

A basic dermaplaning treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes. This time can be longer when more advanced protocols are used (such as prescription masks, the use of LED and micro needling to further enhance results).

What are the Benefits of Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning leaves the skin looking rejuvenated and glowing from just one treatment.  The deep exfoliating treatment can reduce pore size, remove dry patches from the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of scarring and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Dermaplaning creates a perfect base for make-up, removing the dead skin and vellus hair which results in the application of make up looking flawless.

In addition the treatment leaves the skin looking smoother and brighter and can also be a perfect treatment to combine with a chemical peel, deep moisture treatment or exposure under a medical grade LED facial lamp to further enhance results.

Who is suitable for the treatment? Is there any downtime?

The wonderful thing about the treatment is that it is suitable for all skin types and can even be performed during pregnancy and nursing.

There is no downtime at all – immediately clients are left with refreshed and glowing skin and can continue with their daily routine straight away.

A session of dermaplaning is recommended once every 4/6 weeks to maintain a healthy looking glow.

(We advise clients should avoid using any exfoliating products 1 week before your treatment)

Bronze £39 – Cleanse, one pass, protect (add Dermalux LED for £15)

Silver £49 – Cleanse, double pass, prescription serum, recovery balm, protect

Gold £59 – Cleanse, double pass, prescription serum mask (any Alumier or tempered gold), recovery balm, protect

Platinum £69 – Cleanse, double pass, prescription serum, mask (any Alumier or tempered gold), Dermalux LED, recovery balm, protect.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive treatment which uses fine crystals and a vacuum to exfoliate the skin to improve skin tone and texture.

The machine sprays special crystals onto the skin which gently remove the outer layer of the skin, the vacuum picks up the crystals and any dead skin which has been removed off the skin’s surface as well as improving blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.

What Skin conditions does it treat?

Microdermabrasion can be used to treat and improve a number of skin concerns on the face and body.  It will improve the skin’s tone and texture leaving a brighter and rejuvenated complexion, reduce pore size and remove blackheads, help reduce the appearance of  fine lines and wrinkles and reduce the appearance of pigmentation.  It is also effective on mild acne scarring.

Microdermabrasion leaves the skin looking radiant as a standalone treatment but is also a perfect treatment to pair with a chemical peel, prescription mask or a medical grade LED device.

Who is suitable for the treatment?

Microdermabrasion is suitable for most skin types.  Microdermabrasion is not suitable for skin with active acne or severe rosacea.

Is there any downtime? How many sessions do I need?

Other than a little redness, there is no downtime at all from the treatment.

The treatment itself takes approximately 30 minutes.

Microdermabrasion is recommended every 3 to 4 weeks to keep the skin looking radiant, but different skin concerns may need to be treated differently (more or less regularly).

What is a Dermal Filler?

Dermal fillers are quite different from anti-wrinkle injections.

Dermal fillers add volume to the skin and enhance the appearance of certain facial features.

As we age, the collagen in our skin loses volume and causes the skin to be thinner and less capable of self repair.  Additionally, the body’s storage of hyaluronic acid also depletes with age causing folds and wrinkles and a more sunken appearance of the facial features to develop.  Injecting dermal filler therefore restores this lost volume.

The most common form of dermal filler is made of hyaluronic acid.  This is a substance which is naturally found in your body.  It consists of a clear, injectable gel of various thicknesses and viscosity.  It gradually breaks down over a period of time and fillers therefore are of temporary effect…  though the continuous development of the products in this range mean that the effects of them in some cases can last several years.

Why is consultation so important?

Whereas Botox© injections are quite scientific in their application – dermal fillers are quite ‘artistic’… A good practitioner must have a keen eye for what is required and an in-depth knowledge of not only facial anatomy but that of the hundreds of various dermal filler products on the market.

Correct product selection is essential for a truly customised and tailored treatment.  At our Clinics, with over ten years experience – our Senior Practitioner and Medical Staff pride themselves in extensive product knowledge and ethical protocols regarding treatments.

You could not be in safer hands!

Because of this, our Clinics literally stock hundreds of different types of Dermal Filler – all pharmaceutical grade and CE certified.  Your treatment plan will be extensively discussed with you at consultation – and prices determined once a decision is made upon which products and amounts will be used.

Is there any downtime following a dermal filler treatment?

Not generally – other than the typical possible reactions of bruising and swelling, treatments with dermal filler is generally non-invasive and most people can return to their daily lives/work almost immediately.  In the case of lip fillers some additional swelling may occur in the first 24-48 hours, this is transient in nature and generally not self-limiting in any way.

How quickly should I expect results?

Results can be seen immediately following treatment but continue to develop in the first few weeks after treatment.  Dermal fillers plump, soften and swell in the first 2-4 weeks following their initial administration and true results are seen 4-5 weeks post treatment.  Results can further be enhanced with additional treatment – but we should recommend waiting at least this amount of time before making that decision.

How long can I expect the treatment to last?

All depends on the amount and type of product used and the area treated.  Some softer products in delicate areas may only last 6-9 months with the majority lasting from 9 months up to 2 years. Subsequent treatments build upon each other and once an area is treated 2-3 times it is not uncommon for this result to last several years (area/product dependant).

What complications, if any, can arise and how can they be managed?

One of the best things about hyaluronic acid dermal fillers is that they are not permanent.  However, further peace of mind can be given by the fact that complications can be reversed and dissolved by the correct administration of Hyalase – a prescription medication available at the clinic by our in house medical staff.  We are however proud to say, we have never had to reverse any of our own work!

Clinical over-sight is a priority in our Establishments – all of our treatments are backed up by appropriate medical staff.

What dermal filler treatments are offered at the Clinic?

Our ethos in the clinic is that ALL dermal fillers should remain NATURAL enhancements of our Clients own features.  They should be used to restore soft tissue loss and volume on the face and in certain circumstances sculpt and define facial features.

The following list gives an overview of the number of possible treatments offered at our Clinics…

Lip Enhancement/Vertical Lip Lines

As a professional establishment we firmly believe that lips can be both natural and full without looking ‘over filled’ and ‘sausage like’… Our Clinics stock over 20 different brands of dermal filler suitable for lip enhancements and our thorough consultation process means we take great pride in achieving the look preferred by our clients – within clear ethical and professional boundaries.

It is our belief that beautiful lips are created with small subtle adjustments over a period of time.  Dermal filler in this area can also be used to restore loss of volume around the mouth area itself – rectifying vertical lip lines (lip stick bleed lines) and balancing top and bottom lip projection.

Cheek Enhancement

Skilled injection techniques in the cheek area can create high definition cheek bones that contour the face and can likewise be used to naturally lift sunken cheeks and restore youthful facial volume without the appearance of ‘over filling’… (otherwise known as ‘pillow face’)

Placement of the dermal filler using both cannula and pocket filling techniques involve placing the product above the periosteum (bone) and such techniques used create safe, natural results… with minimum downtime.

Jaw and Chin Contouring

Jaw contouring is the perfect dermal filler treatment if the client desires a stronger, more defined jawline or would like to mask the appearance of jowls… Chin contouring uses dermal filler to reshape and define the chin to improve the balance of facial features.

It is often combined with a jaw contouring treatment to elongate and sculpt the face to create a greater definition of the facial features.  A cannula technique is used for safety, minimal bruising and downtime.

Temple Rejuvenation

Often one of the key features of the way we age comes with loss of volume at the temples.  More than any other sign of ageing, loss of volume here can make both men and women look aged, tired and sometimes even unwell.  By placing volume here, we can not only restore the volume to the upper face, well placed temple filler creates an immediate lifting effect.

Adding volume to the temple also tends to accentuate the brow, creating a brow lift because placing the filler deep in this region provides more structure to the underlying skin.

Nasolabial Folds

These are also known as Nose-Mouth lines – this is a subtle but effective way of restoring lost youthful facial volume without actually changing the dynamics of the face at all.

Marionette Lines/Jowls

These wrinkles are often associated with droopy mouth corners and are commonly referred to as ‘puppet lines’.

Clients who desire to have these lines corrected often refer to themselves as looking miserable and this treatment is often commonly combined with lower face Botox© in the oral commissioners to lift up the corners of the mouth.

Depending on their depth and the possibility of combining them with other fillers (such as jaw/chin filler or filler above in the nasolabial folds), fillers in this area can also help reduce the appearance of jowls.

Liquid Rhinoplasty

Dermal filler can be used to even out bumps, improve and sometimes straighten the nose.  Without the surgical downtime, cost and recovery period associated with surgery, liquid rhinoplasties are rapidly becoming popular alternatives for both men and woman alike.

Tear Trough Filler

A tear trough often looks like a hollow tunnel or ‘half moon’ under the eye – making the eye appear very tired.  Because of the lack of volume in this area the eye will also often appear dark and skin on the superficial dermis can appear dehydrated and ‘crepey’.

Correct restoration of this area with a specific dermal filler and cannula technique can beautifully restore this area to its previous youth… and help alleviate most if not all of these ageing issues.

It is worth noting it is both skilled technique and correct product selection that are both vital to the success of this treatment and the treatment is often combined with cheek filler in the malar pad region to correct the sunken appearance of the cheek area to give the most effective result…

This is otherwise known as:

Midface Volumisation

The combined application of two different dermal fillers of various viscosity to restore volume to the under eye and cheek area, both providing volume and lift to the clients ‘Mid Face’.

Liquid Facelifts

These use a range of dermal fillers of varying types and including a range of techniques to ‘lift’ and enhance the face, in a similar way to a facelift, but without the cost or downtime.

Areas normally treated include all of the tear trough, cheek enhancement and the correction of lower facial loss, lines and lifting of the mouth/cheek area.

This is generally more suitable for the more mature client with moderate/severe loss of facial volume and ageing around the cheek, mouth and jowl area. It is worth noting that anything from 5-10 ml of filler can be used for this treatment and multiple purchase discounts apply.

As a Clinic we strongly believe good skin is achievable through 50% ‘in Clinic treatment’ and 50% ‘homecare’.  That is why, for every three Alumier skincare products purchased we give our Clients a £100 Professional Treatment credit towards an Alumier Peel of their choice.

Generally, what is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a treatment used to improve skin texture and tone. Various ‘acids’ (fruit acids) and pharmaceutical grade ingredients are applied to the skin to lower the pH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, including exfoliation and stimulation of new cell growth.

This process causes superficial layers of dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion.  How much the skin ‘peels’ depends entirely on the type of peel and its protocol being applied.  What this means is that not all peels create the harsh kind of flaking skin effect that lots of people imagine.  Modern innovative peels use such innovative and high grade pharmaceutical ingredients that often the desired physical outcome can be achieved on the Client’s skin without any down time at all!

A course of tailored Chemical peels can also thicken the epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen.

What can I expect after treatment? Is there any downtime?

Depending on the nature of the peel, the skin may or may not flake away over the few days that follow.  Clients will always be advised as to what to expect by their Practitioner or Therapist and the relevant aftercare provided.

Though it can be rightfully said that beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight, and treatments take time to show results – as a Clinic we do pride ourselves in successfully treating the concerns of our Clients quickly.

A single chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin; however, more significant results in treating textural issues, fine lines and inflamed acne could take up to eight weeks or require a course of treatments.

What kind of Skin concerns can be treated with Peels?

Peel treatments improve skin texture and firmness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles.  Peels also even out skin tone (pigmentation), improve acne- prone skin and reduce pore size appearance.

Local Anaesthetic is used prior to the treatment to numb the area and make it pain free during removal.

Additionally the area is cauterised during the treatment and healing is almost immediate

What will the area look like after treatment? Is there any downtime?

The area may be a little irritated and redness and scabbing may form. This is generally quite superficial and does not prevent clients continuing with their daily activities.

Weight Loss and Health Clinic

(Including Medical prescription weight loss)

As a clinic our sole aim is to enable our clients to feel good about themselves – not only from a facial ageing perspective but also by helping our clients gain confidence in the way they look and feel all over – combining our efforts to also therefore help both the body and mind.

It is a fact that the majority of adults in the UK are struggling to maintain a healthy body weight (1 in 4 are overweight) and how we look and feel physically has a great impact on our mental health as well as our physical well-being!

How we feel within ourselves is more crucially important than the recognition that we place upon the way society perceives us.

Whilst it is agreed that there is no ‘quick fix’ to achieving dramatic weight loss or the beach ‘body perfect’ look that we all as humans desire, there are ways of making the process easier!

Medications, supplements and ‘Professional Advice’ can, as standalone aids or together as a combined program, kick-start a weight loss journey which can help our Clients look and feel their very best.

Within our Healthcare Inspectorate Wales registered premises we have put together a team of professionals including our Clinical Doctor, Resident Surgeon and an NHS employed Dietitian to help enable our clients to achieve their weight-loss goals.

All of our staff receive current and informative training on Keto diet principles and are readily available to share experiences and give advice on leading a healthier and more positive lifestyle through the use of personally and professionally tailored diet plans with the additional use of exogenous therapeutic ketones which greatly aid mental well being and support weight loss goals.

More importantly, all of our advice is impartial and without ‘pressure selling’ of any supplements or products that our clinics promote.

Additionally we have a range of body contouring, inch-loss and cellulite reduction machinery across the clinics which further enhance and aid weight loss goals to offer our body conscious clients the full ‘spectrum’ of weight loss aids.

Prescription Weight Loss Services – ‘Revitaloss’ Injections

As part of our Health, Weight Management and Lifestyle service we are able to offer an injectable ‘prescription only’ weight loss injection medication, which is now at the pinnacle of modern weight loss therapies.

Our ‘Revitaloss’ injection can easily transform a body in 1-3 months – in some cases with losses of up to 20kg being reported from using this simple daily injection.

Not only can this medication ‘kick-start’ your weight loss journey resulting in you both looking and feeling better but it actually enables you to become healthier because your risk of health complications will also decrease alongside your BMI.

Losing weight will significantly decrease your risk of:

– Diabetes

– High blood pressure

– Strokes

– Heart attacks

What is the Revitaloss injection and how does it work?

The prescription medication contained in Revitaloss is Liraglitude and is FDA approved.

It is a self-injected medicine which is administered once a day and is a hugely effective weight loss solution when it is combined with a healthy calorie controlled diet.

The injection can be taken at any time of day but must be taken daily to be effective.  Our team are here to advise you on the correct dosage for you – (when and if to increase/decrease) and provide constant access and support to ensure the drug is used as effectively as possible.

The active ingredient in our Revitaloss medication is what is known in medicine as ‘Incretin’ – incretin promotes your body to burn energy safely and also increases your feeling of fullness at mealtimes – eliminating the need to pick between meal times and at night.

The overall effect of the Revitaloss injection is essentially:

– Reduce Hunger

One of the main causes of being overweight is quite simply over-eating! The FDA approved drug in Revitaloss is clinically proven to act as an appetite suppressant – enabling you to eat less and avoid cravings for unnecessary snacks!

– Reduce the amount you eat!

The hardest thing about starting a new diet when you have fallen into the bad habit of over-eating is often controlling your portion size!! By sending signals from your stomach to your brain to tell you your stomach is full, Revitaloss very quickly enables you to reduce the amount you eat when you do eat.

 – It is designed to make you feel fuller, for longer – resulting in a calorie deficit and therefore a loss in body fat

– Increase your body’s ability to burn calories

A common negative of low calorie or ‘fasting’ diets without the correct professional or nutritional support can be ‘Ketoacidosis’ – a state whereby your body is unable to get the glucose it needs for energy. Glucose is a result of our modern lifestyle sugar and carbohydrate based ‘modern diets’ – too much of which is also why as a nation we are largely overweight.

Our bodies need energy – so crave sugar and carbohydrates in order to convert them into glucose and create this short lived ‘burst of energy’… resulting in our next craving.

The ingredients of Revitaloss can actually regulate glucose levels in your blood, reduce sugar cravings and effectively allow you to limit portion sizes without feeling ‘unwell’ and in-fact encourages your body to use your stored fat for energy which also results in a reduction of body fat.

Our medical team strongly advocate that anyone using this medication should also aim to reduce their daily calorie intake by an average of 500 calories and increase physical activity to at least 20-30 minutes a day (where physically possible).

How do I get the medication – who assesses me?

The medicated pen is a Prescription Only Medicine – so should only be prescribed by someone with the legal authority and knowledge to do so – we have only Doctors and Surgeons prescribing it in our clinics.

Our clinics are also Healthcare Inspectorate Wales registered for this purpose – as per the law.

Any client of our clinics wishing to receive the weight-loss injection are given a full in-depth medical consultation with our in-house Doctor who will then prescribe the medication in accordance with NIICE guidelines.

On the occasion that a Client cannot attend a Clinic we can do this remotely via facetime or skype.  These appointments must be pre-booked in advance.

As part of our service a small medical/health assessment will also be carried out by our staff – weight taken on our Tanita scales, measurements and some physical checks such as blood pressure and blood sugar levels – so our Doctor has an accurate perception of our client’s physical health.

Additionally, as part of our Health & Lifestyle service at the clinics we offer the services of our own in-house Dietitian.  As part of our sign-up service clients are given access to their very own Dietitian who has worked very closely with the medication in question for a number of years in the N.H.S. and whom can give invaluable advice in ensuring it is used as effectively as it can be – as part of our clinical support.

In addition, our Dietitian also offers her services on a private basis – offering one-to-one support to those clients in need of further help adjusting to a calorie controlled diet.  This includes offering diet plans and bespoke lifestyle change advice which can prove paramount in aiding long term physical and lifestyle change.

What is Aqualyx?

Aqualyx is a gel-based aqueous solution which dissolves fat and is bio-compatible and bio-degradable.

It has been developed for the non-surgical reduction of localised fat under the skin.  It works by causing the dissolution of fat cells which are then expelled naturally by the body.  In short – it liquifies the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids which are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

Aqualyx contains desoxycholan-acid, a secondary bile acid and endogenous substance that has been discovered to have a fat dissolving effect.

The treatment with Aqualyx can be performed in combination with external ultrasound. The liquid substance supports and enhances the fat-dissolving effect by the process of ‘cavitational adipocytolysis’, which intensifies its ‘dissolving’ effect.

Which areas of the body can be treated with Aqualyx? Who is a suitable candidate?

Used for the dissolution of fat deposits, Aqualyx can be administered over the entire body – including hips, saddle bags, thighs, stomach, knees, chins and more.  It is also a possible treatment of pseudo-gynecomastia (man boobs) and buffalo humps (fatty deposits at the top of the back).

It is most suitable for clients who do not want invasive procedures such as lipo-suction and who DO NOT have large amounts of fat to remove. Candidates should be over 18 and under 60 years of age.

Typically two treatments are required for each area – but consultation on this is imperative.  The speed at which results will be seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes.  Results will last as long as the client maintains a healthy diet and B.M.I.

Aqualyx is NOT a weight-loss treatment – it is a treatment aimed at reducing stubborn pockets of fat.

How many treatments are required?

The amount of treatments vary according to the desired degree of results, the dimensions of the fat deposit and the individual reactions of the fat tissue.

On average you will have to expect around 2-3 appointments on a fibrous fatty area with 3-week intervals, until you can actually perceive the results, even though results are certainly visible after one treatment!

A treatment with Aqualyx does not result in weight loss. Healthy nutrition as well as an exercise regime are an absolute necessity to ensure success of the treatment.

What does the treatment involve?

Aqualyx can be administered using thin, flexible cannulas or needles. With either method Aqualyx is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue.

The treatment is virtually pain free, as fat tissue is almost free of sensation and Aqualyx contains an additional local anaesthetic.

Immediately after the injection external ultrasound or massage will be applied onto the treated area for about 10 minutes.  After the treatment the affected area may redden and swell to a slight degree.  As with any treatment with a hypodermic needle, minor bruising and swelling might develop.  All these are expected side effects that abate within a couple of days after the treatment.

–        Do not apply any cosmetics onto the treated area within a 12 hour period

–        avoid all direct sources of heat and radiation (sunlight, UV-radiation, sauna etc)

–        abstain from particularly demanding physical exercise for 7 days.

–        As the released fatty acids are converted into additional energy, it is especially important that you keep a strict and healthy diet, otherwise your body will simply store the fat in an alternative fat deposit.

When is the treatment with Aqualyx not recommended?

It is not recommended when the patient is suffering from acute or chronic skin disease in the affected area.  For safety reasons all patients with a medical history including anaphylactic reactions, severe allergies, severe organic or physical illnesses, auto-immune diseases or diabetes, as well as women who are pregnant or breast feeding are excluded from any treatment with Aqualyx.

PDO Threadlifting – The ‘Lunchtime Facelift’

What are PDO Threads?

PDO thread lifting is a fantastic alternative for many people who want to look younger without resorting to the scalpel!

PDO stands for Polydioxanone – an absorbable substance virtually identical to that used in surgical sutures.  The PDO has been woven into a thread and is inserted into the skin using micro fine needles.

There are numerous types of PDO thread and they can be used to rejuvenate the skin by various techniques.

Smaller thinner threads can be inserted into the skin to form a mesh which stimulates collagen production.  Longer, thicker threads are inserted using cannulas and passed through the skin, down to the jowl and neck area whereby their ‘barbed’ design can be used to anchor into the tissue – and once manually pulled they actually lift the face up.

In both instances the PDO gradually dissolves at around six months and leaves a matrix of newly generated collagen in its place.  So even though appearing as an artificial, invasive procedure it is really instead just an effective way of harnessing the body’s natural skin-rejuvenating process.

Who is a suitable candidate for a Thread-Lift?

The use of PDO in a mesh technique is good for anyone above the age of thirty who would like to achieve a more youthful appearance.  The small threads can be used to address all signs of ageing from crow’s feet to nasalobial and marionette lines. They suit all types of skin – including thin, crepey skin as they will very rarely be visible and can also be interred to help kill off fat cells… producing a firmer, tighter effect.

The ‘cogged’ larger threads are excellent for treating jowls and a sagging neck by lifting the tissue upwards and reasserting it further up the face.  For this reason, they are more suited to candidates over the age of 40.  This is a much more invasive procedure but still less invasive that surgery and with excellent results.  This procedure would not be ideal though for a candidate with very little facial tissue and the threads may ‘pucker’ or become visible.  Candidate selection is vital here for a good result.

What is involved in the PDO Thread Lifting Treatment?

The type of PDO thread used determines the anaesthesia.

For the finer thread on a needle a local anaesthetic cream is used to numb the skin for about 20 minutes before the micro-fine needles are inserted into the skin.  These needles are then carefully and gently withdrawn, leaving the thread in place.

For the stronger cogged ‘lifting’ threads, a local anaesthetic is injected into the tissue at the point of insertion and the threads are gently pushed into the skin through a small opening that has been made with a large needle.

The threads that are contained in the cannulas (blunt ended needle) are then placed into the deep dermal layer of skin and when the cannula is withdrawn, the thread remains in place.  The part of the thread leaving the skin is then gently pulled by the practitioner, allowing the skin and tissue to be lifted by the thread embedded and anchored into the tissue.  The ends of the thread are cut and the skin allowed to close back over the small opening made for their insertion.  The face is then essentially ‘lifted’ up by the thread.

The whole procedure takes about an hour to complete and is carried out in a clinically sterile environment.

Is there any down time and how long until I see results?

With the finer superficial threads most clients can return to their normal routine almost instantly.  Some small marks and bruising may appear on the skin owing to the insertion of the needle, but these are generally transitory and coverable with make up in the days that follow.

In the case of the cog-lift procedure, there can be some initial swelling and tenderness which may take a few days to subside.  Some puckering may be visible of the surface of the skin that will rectify itself usually within about 4-7 days.

Clients are advised of ‘downtime’ of up to about 72 hours dependant on whether they have swollen or are bruised.  Any potential tenderness is generally relieved by taking paracetamol.

Clients will notice an immediate tightening up of sagging skin – due to the scaffolding effect of the threads.  These results will continue to improve over the coming months as spirals of collagen form around the threads.  The threads dissolve around six months after the procedure – leaving the collagen matrix in their place that can last 2 or more years.

All clients are reviewed at around 12 weeks post procedure.

What is Plasma BT Skin Tightening?

Plasma treatment works by triggering a contraction of the skin fibres to bring a tightening, lifting and remodelling effect to the treated skin tissue.

Plasma BT uses plasma energy to achieve this.  The principle involves the ionisation of gases contained in the air to create a miniature “arc” of energy which can be used to treat specific areas of concern without damaging the surrounding areas or applying any unwanted heat.

Plasma treatment is much less invasive than laser or diathermy.  The advantage of Plasma is that it offers an alternative to surgery, which itself can be highly invasive, there are no associated risks of complications associated with Plasma treatment.

What areas can be treated? What happens during Treatment?

Plasma BT uses advanced atmospheric pressure plasma technology to deliver a wide range of bespoke treatments.

It can be used to resurface wrinkles and tighten the skin all over the face.  At the clinic our most popular function is Plasma Surgical which is a non-surgical treatment for eye rejuvenation (otherwise known as upper and lower blepharoplasty), crow’s feet and wrinkle reduction.

Plasma is essentially an ionised gas which holds an electrical charge. When applied at high or low atmospheric pressures to the skin, it is able to target the thin or loose skin area of concern – with the ionised ‘arc’ causing the skin to ‘contract’.  This has the secondary outstanding effect on the skins ability to regenerate tissue.

The regeneration of skin in this manner is a result of a process known as “sublimation” which predominantly triggers collagen renewal.

A pattern of tiny dots appear like small burns in the skin (they heal in 4-7 days depending upon the strength of the treatment) and this process of ‘sublimation’ is what is occurring underneath.

This has a direct and outstanding result in the retraction of skin tissue in the upper and lower eye area particularly and has become a very popular treatment amongst our Clients with ageing eye concerns.

Once a course of treatment is complete results can also up to 5 years.

Is there any down time? How quickly until I see results?

Immediately following treatment, the skin may feel tight and a throbbing burning sensation may be felt.  Sunburn-like redness can be seen immediately after treatment and the small ‘dots’ from the treatment will be visible.

Swelling, discolouration and flaking can be expected in the days post -treatment.  Once the redness has subsided after 1-2 days the skin will appear darker.  This is old skin and will be replaced by ‘new’ pink skin. This will gradually return to ‘normal’ skin colour within 1-2 weeks following treatment.

The full effects of the treatment will be seen around 6-8 weeks following treatment.  It will take as long for the new collagen formation and remodelling to be complete.

Generally a course of three treatments is recommended for optimum results.

The results are permanent and should last anything up to 5 years. (Please discuss this with your Practitioner at consultation)

How much does the treatment cost?

Prices from £200

What is SkinPen?

SkinPen is the World’s ONLY FDA approved CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy) Micro-Needling Device. It really is the absolute ‘creme de le creme’ of micro-needling therapies – dramatically rejuvenating the skin within 30 days of the initial treatment.

Essentially it is a skin rejuvenation procedure that helps to improve your skin’s appearance by stimulating it’s natural ability to produce collagen.

It comfortably creates thousands of micro-injuries to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process.  This in turn stimulates the fibroblasts in your dermis that enable the skin to produce collagen and repair itself. This will plump and thicken the skin to reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles and fine lines.  It’s the only FDA medically approved skin pen device with beautiful lasting results for youthful, smoother and tighter looking skin.

How does it work? What does the treatment involve?

SkinPen is a sophisticated, mechanical device that has an interchangeable needle cartridge which once applied to the skin with just a little pressure, actually punctures the skin 9,000 times per second – yet does this so quickly, no pain whatsoever is felt by the client

It is applied to the skin using specific collagen inducing patterns which greatly aid its natural rejuvenation process.

In addition to ageing and skin rejuvenation, SkinPen leaves exceptional results on all kinds of scarring including old, deep acne pitting.

Collagen production stimulated from just one treatment continues for 360 days. The increased cellular turnover it produces has also shown huge benefits on pigmented skin, with many clients reporting a drastic reduction in hyper pigmentation as well as a considerably more even skin tone.

The results can be further enhanced in combination with other skin treatments including Skin Peels, Mesotherapy, hyaluronic acid and Vampire PRP treatments.

At the time of treatment we can further enhance your results with a prior dermaplaning or follow it with 20-30 minutes under our Dermalux LED lamp to promote skin healing and further collagen induction.

For the client wishing to go the extra mile, a non cross-linked hyaluronic acid can be ‘needled’ into the dermis to create an immediate plumping and lifting effect.

There really is no end to its flexibility!

Who is a suitable candidate?

Anyone who wants to promote healthy skin, diminish fine lines, close pores or reduce scarring.

Is there any downtime? How many treatments are recommended?

Clients are quite pink/red in colour immediately following treatment but this resolves itself generally over a few hours.

Slight pinkness may remain the following day but is coverable with a little make up.

Treatments should be 30 days apart.

Courses of three are recommended to target specific skin concerns (acne scarring, severe wrinkles, pigmentation)

Single Session – £249

Single Session with Hyaluronic Acid – £299

Course of Three (basic) – £600

Course of Three (with Hyaluronic Acid) – £750

Dermalux LED Treatments can be added for £20 per session

8 Point Face Lift with Juvederm

New approach to lifting the face using the Juvederm Vycross range of dermal fillers
8 point lift procedure involves injecting deposits of Juvederm Voluma and Volift in 8 distinct treatment areas – by doing so it is possible to revitalise, reshape and lift the face to achieve a natural result
Procedure is adapted for each individual patient based on their own personal profile and requirements. The refreshed look should last between 9-18 months.

‘Silhouette Soft’

A speciality thread lift which is minimally invasive – also known as a non-surgical face lift.
A Silhouette Soft suture is a fine and reabsorbable suspension structure which is inserted into the ‘fat’ structure of the skin. The suture and ‘cones’ structure which are placed on the thread repositions fat and tissue.
Fat and tissue naturally ‘drops’ during the ageing process – causing ptosis (drooping) of the skin – the cones on the Silhouette Soft suture ‘lifts’ up the folded skin – giving a more natural rejuvenated look.
Similar to P.D.O. thread lifts – can be used as an alternative to or in conjunction with P.D.O. Threads.

P.D.O. Thread Lifts (see treatment section)

Aqualyx (Injectable Lypolysis)

What is Aqualyx? How does it work?

Aqualyx is a gel-based aqueous solution which dissolves fat and is biocompatible and biodegradable.
It has been developed for the non-surgical reduction of localised fat under the skin. It works by causing the dissolution of fat cells which are then expelled naturally by the body. In short – it liquefies the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids which are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

What areas can be treated by Aqualyx?

An Aqualyx treatment consists of depositing the solution into localised areas of fat such as saddle-bags, thighs, stomachs, chins and knees. It can also be used to treat pseudeo-gynocomastia in men. It is most suitable for clients who do not want invasive procedures such as lipo-suction who DO NOT have large amounts of fat to remove – are over 18 and under 60 years of age.

How many treatments are required? Is there any downtime? What kind of results can I expect?

Typically two treatments are required for each area being treated. The treatment is repeated every 3-4 weeks.
After each treatment, clients can expect some swelling, redness and skin irritation. Tenderness in the area is to be expected and will generally subside after 4-6 days. The speed at which results will be seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes.
Results will last as long as the client maintains a healthy diet and B.M.I.

Aqualyx is NOT a weight-loss treatment – it is a treatment aimed at reducing stubborn pockets of fat.

Medical Migraine Treatment

Botox can be effectively used to treat chronic migraines. It works by paralysing the nerve supply to muscles and restricting their movement. IT can work in 3 ways to aid migraine relief.

Relaxes muscles around the head and thereby reduces blood pressure within the brain.

Reduces the nerves ability to send pain signals during a migraine.

May prevent nerves from sending signals which will lead to a migraine. It is a specialised medical treatment that involves intramuscular injection in 31-39 sites around the head and back of the neck.
‘N.H.S.’ criteria for the administration of botox to be prescribed on the N.H.S. is very specific and not easily met.
This is why so may clients are looking for relief from this debilitating illness in the Private Sector and Mr Abu is happy to provide this service as part of his portfolio of medical services offered at the clinic.

When the body produces more sweat than it needs to it is a condition called Hyperhydrosis. It is an embarrassing medical condition which can have a huge impact on everyday life.

Thankfully botox injections are a safe and effective way to reduce sweating – they are injected into a specific part of the sweat gland and work by blocking the chemical in your body which stimulates the sweat glands.

The treatment usually works within a few short weeks and lasts for around 4 to 7 months depending on the severity of the condition and the dose administered to the patient.

It is a safe, painless and effective procedure which is not made readily available on the N.H.S. due to budget cuts but is thankfully a treatment now offered in private clinics such as ours, by Medical Healthcare Professionals such as Dr Abu.

Unfortunately, unless it is considered a necessity – (when a lesion is pre-cancerous or cancerous) – it is not removed as a matter of priority. ‘Benign lesions’ will only be removed under the N.H.S. if they are somewhere irritation may occur and even then it is at a Doctor’s discretion and waiting lists are long.

Yet the trauma of benign skin lesions can be paramount to a client’s mental state if they are visible and unsightly. Additionally if they are positioned somewhere on a clients body which is causing the client irritation and distress they may not want to wait on long waiting lists to have them removed.

This is something the N.H.S. does not care to recognise and sadly hundreds and thousands of people in the U.K. are living with unsightly or uncomfortable skin lesions that they do not realise can be painlessly and AFFORDABLY removed. With some private hospitals charging up to £1500, this price point falls beyond the remit of most average U.K. citizens.

YET at our clinics these lesions can be professionally removed WITHOUT breaking the bank!

As a General Surgeon Mr Abu specialises in the Surgical Excision of skin lesions and can quickly and effectively surgically remove most benign skin lesions under local anaesthetic at our clinical premises (where our non-invasive treatments such as Cryotherapy and Cautery treatments with a Lamprobe will not suffice).

‘Complete removal’ of an entire lesion can be expertly and professionally carried out with a few small painless incisions of the lesion in question and some of the tissue surrounding it. A few small stitches may be required and clients will be advised when to come back to have them removed. Dissolvable stitches will usually disappear within 10-14 days after surgery and after pain is generally minimal.

What is the downtime? Aftercare? How long can I expect it to take to heal?

Generally there should be no downtime and pain is minimal. Clients are usually in and out of the premises within 90 minutes (after pre-consultation) and temporary side effects may include swelling, bruising and some manageable pain or mild discomfort.

Depending on the type of lesion which has been removed and its location, Mr Abu may advise avoiding stretching the skin in the area where the surgery has taken place whilst there are stitches.

For 48 hours after surgery the wound will need to be kept dry and can be cleaned gently after that. The treated area should be kept out of the sun.

All scarring should be minimal and fade significantly in 3 months.

What is Hifu?

HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound and is technology which uses concentrated beams of ultrasound energy to rejuvenate the skin in precisely targeted areas.  The treatment also acts to tighten the dermis and promotes new ‘sub-dermal collagen formation’ – which basically means it restructures the skin from the bottom up!

How does HIFU work?

Our clients are very fortunate that we have the Doublo-S System in our Clinic – a medical grade machine which delivers outstanding results.

This system safely and effectively delivers a low amount of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound energy to the skin and underlying tissue, with optimum results.  It is the controlled heat from the ultrasound which stimulates new collagen to form.

During the treatment, sound waves (which are inaudible to the human ear) are leaving the transducer (handpiece) and developing heat in the skin.  It is very specific in the area it targets as studies have shown that it is apparent that 95% of the energy of the focussed ultrasound is concentrated in a small region.

The energy wave triggers a vibration in the molecules of the skin which generates heat.  These temperatures can actually reach 60-70℃, but is not perceptible on the surface of the skin during treatment.  This is called thermo- energy and results in small injuries in the deeper layers of the skin.

This level of heat has a direct impact on collagen – causing its fibres to shorten and split up, allowing for the stimulation of fibroblasts and for more collagen stimulation to take place.

This process is called Neocollagenesis and the formation of small collagen fibres can be observed in 30 days at sites affected by heat.

The overall effects of HIFU on the skin therefore include…

  • Initiates neocollagenesis
  • Strengthens the dermis
  • Reaches SMAS contraction and lifting
  • Decreases fat tissue on the submental area, thus better contours of the face
  • Overall gives a full face-lifting effect.

Who is a suitable candidate for HIFU?

HIFU can be used wherever the skin starts to sag or lose suppleness – on the face, this is typically under the chin, around the jawline, around the eyes and under the brow.

On the body it can be used for the lax skin under the arms, inner thighs and abdomen.

The skin of the ideal patient has a medium or moderate decrease in skin tightness.  Younger clients can be treated with greater success since their capacity for regeneration is higher compared to the older age group.  If there is still some level of collagen and elastin producing capacity, results will be more outstanding.  This means that the perfect patient is 35-55 years old. Naturally, 25-35 year old clients can also undergo treatment for preventative purposes.

Lifestyle choices of the patient can enhance effectiveness, smoking greatly accelerates the ageing process of the skin.  Due to long term smoking, skin loses its elasticity much faster and biological processes slow down.  The skin of heavy smokers and skin with a high level of sun damage will not react as well to the treatment.

The results vary from patient to patient and occasionally the collagen building on the inside which helps counter the effects of gravity does not have a visible effect on the outside, but will certainly have a preventative effect in the further deterioration of the skin during the ageing process.

Additionally, HIFU is also very useful as a complimentary treatment after undergoing surgical procedures such as liposuction and facelifts.

What is involved in the HIFU Treatment?

There can be some discomfort during the treatment when the ultrasound is being delivered but it is generally transient in nature and not limiting in any way.

Ultrasound gel is layered over the area to be treated.  Each area is treated with 2 handpieces the size and depth depends on the area treated.  Each area is treated in 2 directions from inside to outside and from downwards to upwards.

Treatments are generally completed in 20-45 minutes – depending on the number of areas targeted.

Is there any down time and how long until I see results?

There is no downtime at all, the skin may appear a little red for a few hours but this will settle.

Some tightness can be seen immediately after treatment and the effect increases over the following 12 weeks due to new collagen formation and in conjunction with the continued retraction of the connective tissue matrix.

After treatment the client should drink 2 litres of water per day (3 litres in summer) as collagen will increase better with more water.

It takes 30 days before new collagen starts to produce and 2-3 months following the treatment, but the skin is changing for several months more.

Treatments can be repeated until no further benefit can be achieved and the number needed will depend on the degree of tissue laxity and the goals of the client.

The effects last for 1-2 years on average.  Maintenance sessions are advised to prolong the effects further. Overall HIFU gives a facelifting effect.

What is Strawberry Lift?

Strawberry lift is a completely revolutionary treatment which combines the use of both laser and ultrasound to effectively lift and tighten the stubborn chin and jaw area – an area typically notorious for having no other solution other than surgery!

The technology has been designed to combat cheek definition, lift and tighten the neck and facial jowls – in addition to melting away stubborn pockets of sub-mental fat under the chin.

It is the first non-invasive treatment that gives instant results.

The pain free treatment helps reduce fat cells and works to form new collagen; lifting and tightening the skin with incredible long lasting results.

We are the FIRST and ONLY clinics so far in South Wales to offer this treatment and have been absolutely astounded by our results so far…

How does Strawberry Lift work?

Strawberry Lift is a simple, two stage, 30-minute process.

  • Stage One of the treatment involves ‘Lipolysis’ – a Class 3b Laser light penetrates the skin to selectively target those unwanted fat cells – shrinking them with immediate effect – actually making your face slimmer in just 12 minutes.

This process only feels warm, but certainly not unpleasant – otherwise known as a Non-Invasive miracle that does not need freezing or injections.

Electrodes are placed at the base of the Clients neck during treatment – above the lymph nodes – so that as the fat cells are liquified, the fat is carried out of the system through the lymphatic system.

  • Stage Two of the treatment involves the application of the Patented Ultrasound applicator which simply glides over the skin from below the cheek bones to the lower neck.

The focused ‘Silent Ultrasound’ tightens the skin with immediate effect and generates new collagen.  Results from this treatment continue to improve over the next 12 weeks.

Who is a Suitable Candidate?

This is not a treatment that is suited to absolutely everyone.  Client selection is vital in order to achieve positive results – a full consultation is given prior to proposed treatment as is a full medical evaluation.

The ideal candidate has moderate/average loose skin and fat pockets in the chin and jowl area.   The treatment is not suited to empty, loose, thin and crepey skin.

The treatment is not suitable for clients with an under-active thyroid, who are pregnant or lactating or are within 6 months of being in remission from cancer.  Some types of cancer will exclude some Clients in totality.  We also cannot treat Clients who are fitted with a pacemaker or have epilepsy.

Is there any downtime? How quickly will I see results?

There is no downtime at all with this treatment.  Some Clients swell a little after the laser. It is transient and resolves itself within a few hours.

It is fair to say that in most cases you will see an INSTANT result after just one treatment.  If Clients do swell a little immediately post treatment and therefore do not see so much of a change, fantastic results will definitely be apparent in two weeks.

How many treatments will I need? How long will my results last?

Instant results will be seen in one treatment.  Clients will have between 1-4 treatments.  The number of treatments required is totally dependant on age, weight and condition of your skin.  Our staff will advise you as to the number required, though please note – if the maximum number of treatments are carried out (4), the maximum length of time is more likely to be achieved for your results.

Results are expected to last between 18 months and two years.   This all depends on the Client’s age and natural ageing process.  Please bear in mind, weight gain and weight loss can also change your face shape.

What Is Sunekos?

Sunekos is the very latest in anti-ageing injectable treatments available on the Aesthetics market and has taken the industry by storm.  We are pleased to be one of the first Clinics in South Wales to offer this revolutionary treatment!

Sunekos is essentially an injectable, patented formulation of amino acids and hyaluronic acid with absolutely no cross-linkage – meaning the product is like water to inject – making it a minimally invasive and painless procedure.

Its patented formula regenerates the Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin – restructuring the skin from the ‘bottom up’.

The product is available in two formulas – Sunekos 200 (hyaluronic acid with a low molecular weight) and Sunekos 1200 (hyaluronic acid with a medium molecular weight).  The two can be used in combination for sagging skin and severe wrinkles – using a lifting – IFT Technique that both lifts and naturally volumises the skin.

Who is the ideal candidate and what areas can be treated?

Anyone is a candidate for Sunekos!  It is a great option for clients who wish to maintain a more natural look – or those who cannot have/want or need Botox© or dermal fillers.  Treatments can be started at any age as they have huge preventative as well as repairing benefits – it really is the most versatile product currently on the market!!

Sunekos can literally be used anywhere! It can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, hands, arms, inner thighs and knees. However, its signature treatments are most definitely for dark circles/sunken eyes and eye bags…. and for creating a lifting and firming effect in the Nasolobial/Marionette area – without the immovable firm volume that is associated with many dermal fillers.

What makes Sunekos different?

Sunekos is different because it is specifically designed to actually renew your skin cells – and not mask the problem of ageing skin!  It still contains hyaluronic acid (as found in dermal fillers) to fill out fine lines and wrinkles , but what makes it really unique is the extra addition of Amino Acids – the foundation or building blocks of healthy skin!

The patented formula dramatically reduces signs of ageing, while leaving a very natural and youthful appearance.

(1) – Component one – hyaluronic acid – a substance which occurs naturally in the body and can hold 1000 times its weight in water – giving the skin and young and soft appearance.  As we age, we produce less of this substance – which is why we get fine lines and wrinkles. Sunekos restores youthfulness to your skin by filling fine lines and wrinkles with hyaluronic acid – hydrating and refreshing the skins appearance.

(2) – Amino Acids – the true building blocks of healthy skin. The patented formula of Sunekos includes L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine HCI, L-valine and L-alanine. Together these amino acids help to regenerate the Extra Cellular Matrix by stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin and rebuilding skin cells.

It is the COMBINATION of amino acids and hyaluronic acid that makes Sunekos so effective  – the hyaluronic acid initiates the skin regeneration and the complex combination of amino acids found in the product greatly accelerate the regeneration process.

Is there any down time? How many Treatments will I need?

Generally speaking, because if its low weight viscosity there is virtually no down time following a Sunekos treatment.  In some cases of treatment around the eye area there must be consideration for a little swelling or bruising – but this would be a small minority of patients and it would be fair to say that in the majority of cases Clients would not appear to have had any facial injections within a few hours of treatment.

Most areas to be treated have a 3-4 session protocol to achieve optimum results (spaced 7-10 days apart) though it is fair to say noticeable differences can be seen after just one treatment.

Maintenance treatments will generally be required every 6 months or so – as singular treatments not courses.

Single treatments per area – £199

Course of 3 treatments – £499

Course of 4 treatments – £599

What is Vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12 is a man made form which replicates Vitamin B12 that is found in your body.  Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation and protein and tissue synthesis.

One of the most common vitamins associated with deficiencies in our bodies is Vitamin B12 – which we need to maintain healthy blood and a healthy nervous system.  The symptoms of such deficiency can therefore be both physical and mental!

It is used to treat medical conditions that occur as a result of Vitamin B12 deficiency and is used in people with pernicious anaemia and other auto-immune conditions.

Who may need Vitamin B12 Injections?

The truth is – most people!!* Functional B12 deficiency is a worldwide problem!  Lack of Vitamin B12 in the human body can contribute to all sorts of body malfunctions and disorders – chronic fatigue syndrome, food sensitivities and environmental illness.  Also neurological disorders such as depression and delusion – it has even been linked to multiple sclerosis, dementia and diabetic neuropathy.

B12 deficiency anaemia is no longer an ‘older’ person’s illness but can affect any person at any age. People over the age of 40 have an elevated risk as our digestive secretions diminish as we get older – so the acid levels in our stomach may be too low to extract the B12 from our foods.  Hypothyroidism and gut bacteria imbalance also have an impact.  The body needs to be able to eat and assimilate B12 from meat, fish, poultry, eggs and dairy – so Vegans do often fall dangerously short too.

‘Functional’ B12 deficiency – the most common type – is the most undiagnosed!  Western Medicine testing found at the Doctors surgery often only accepts B12 deficiency when Pernicious Anaemia develops and B12 levels when blood tested vary from County to County – meaning often a Client’s deficiency is not funded adequately by the NHS.

 Deficiency in B12 means;

– you can become more prone to disease – you lose white blood cells making you more susceptible to viral (herpes) and bacterial infections

– your gut linings can leak – and can lead to food intolerance and auto immune disease.

Other symptoms include;

– feeling extremely tired, having a distinct lack of energy

– pins and needles (paraesthesia) can occur

– sore and red tongue, mouth ulcers, disturbed vision and muscle weakness

– additionally there may be psychological problems – including depression, confusion, memory problems alongside issues with understanding and judgement

As with any Medical Matter – we strongly advise that if you are suffering with any of these symptoms and they are undiagnosed, that you make an appointment with your GP who will arrange for the adequate tests for B12 deficiency.

However, if you are already diagnosed and do not find your 12 weekly cycle injections enough to relieve you of all of your symptoms OR you would like to receive B12 injections to supplement your modern lifestyle – we can arrange Private B12 injections for you at any of our Clinics – so you no longer have to suffer in silence with any of these symptoms!

(*there are a few medical conditions which are contra indicatory to B12 injection supplements – these will be fully reviewed at consultation)

What are the Benefits of Vitamin B12?

B12 is water-soluble – meaning that it cannot be stored in fat cells in the body – any not used at once is actually flushed through the body, so unless very irresponsible dosing is used, it is virtually impossible to ‘have too much’.

– B12 an important role in the normal functioning of the brain and the central nervous system.

– aids digestion and heart health

– creates healthy red blood cells and DNA

– increases energy levels and fights fatigue

– improves metabolism

– helps with weight loss

– improves sleeping patterns

– increases concentration and mood

– boosts the immune system

– often increases hair growth and may reduce hair loss

Is there any down time? How long until I see results? How often should I have the treatment?

The procedure is a simple injection given into the arm. On the first occasion we request that the Client stays on the premises for 20-30 minutes afterwards but reported reactions are extremely rare.

Clients can immediately return to their daily routine.

Depending on the Client’s physical health (whether an auto immune condition is present) and diet, results can usually be felt within a week or so of treatment. Clients with medical conditions may need a short course of treatments close together if they are particularly deficient before they feel the full benefits.  Monthly to bi-monthly treatments are generally adequate to maintain adequate B12 efficiency.

Single Treatment – £35

Course of 4 – £120

Course of 6 – £175

Patch test is required 48 hours before treatment.

LVL stands for length, volume and lift. It’s a stunning alternative to eyelash extensions and has been designed to dramatically enhance the client’s natural eyelashes.

How does it work?

The treatment involves lifting, rather than curling the lash, and is incorporated with a tint. Together with the lift, this creates the fabulous illusion of longer, thicker lashes.

How long will treatment take/last?

Treatment takes approximately 45 minutes depending on the length and health of your natural lashes. LVL does not use adhesives or lash extensions, it lasts up to 6-8 weeks and the results are immediate.

Pre treatment advice?

Do not wear waterproof mascara

The day of treatment?

Do not wear mascara

Avoid applying oily products on your lashes or around your eyes

Contact lenses must be removed prior to the treatment, for this reason we recommend glasses are worn

What aftercare is involved?

There is no downtime but you must avoid showers, saunas and sunbeds for 24 hours The high temperature can cause your lashes to drop, or not last as long as they should. . Eyelash curlers and perming equipment are also not to be used. You are unable to wear mascara for 24 hours after.

How much does the treatment cost?

As needing a patch test which costs £5 this is deducted from the £45 for treatment.

Microsclerotherapy is a medical technique used for the removal of surface and spider veins. It involves injections with a very fine needle of a sclerosing drug which irritates the lining of the vessel wall of the veins causing them to stick together.

Blood stops flowing through the veins resulting in them being absorbed by the body over a few weeks. The blood is directed back into the deeper veins.

Microsclerotherapy is one of the most effective and well established treatments for telangiectasia, otherwise known as spider veins in the legs. These may cause discomfort or more so are an unsightly problem that clients often wish to have removed.

This procedure can be expertly carried out by our in-house surgeon who will consult and assess the nature of the vascular lesion before proposing the required treatment plan.

Pre-consultation is a necessity prior to this treatment.

Prices start from £199

Microneedling is a dermaroller procedure which uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of the treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer and more toned skin.

It may help address fine lines, acne scarring, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, pigmentation and stretch marks. It essentially works by increasing the production of collagen and other healing factors by causing trauma to the skin. Collagen is an essential protein which helps keep the skin looking youthful, with a firm, smooth, and stretchy texture.

(While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won’t be visible until four to six weeks after the procedure).

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended.

Microneedling doesn’t only help correct problem areas on damaged skin – by triggering the body’s natural healing process, generating new collagen and elastin cells. The result is tighter, firmer, softer, healthier and younger looking skin.

Additionally micro needling can be combined with other modalities at our clinic – such as the topical application of mesotherapy cocktails, advanced facial peel treatments and Dermalux LED skin repair. Its versatility and great results make it a very popular treatment at all of our clinics and can be tailored to suit you.
